Adopt the Pace of Nature!

Here's a card I made a while back, and hadn't shared, but I am sharing this today, as the sentiment speaks to me.   Patience is something I am in much need of at present.

This is using one of my latest Dark Room Door purchases, Garden Inchies along with some of their other stamps ie.  Leaves and Sentiment.

I cleared embossed and sponged color over the designs before cutting them out and sticking them to the base card.  The falling leaves gives it a bit of an Autumn feel which is the season we are now in here in Australia, although there isn't too many deciduous trees around where I live.  Maybe a day trip to Tenterfield is on the cards so I can admire and enjoy the autumn leaves in all their splendor along with some cooler weather.

On the weekend I attended a Family Fun Day held for little Allie and to raise funds for the Leukemia Foundation as part of the World's Greatest Shave.  Over 30 people were brave and shaved and/or colored their hair, including my good friend Toni, Allie's Grandmother.

Here's a couple of photos from the day of Toni having her head shaved and then colored Pink by Allie.

I will have to let you know how much this day raised a little later on, as the final tally hasn't been advised, but given the turnout I am sure it was a hugely successful day for all involved.
