Black & White Birthday

I made this card for a friend's Birthday, using a few new items I brought yesterday from Time to Create.

The new items include the Black and White Papers from Bo Bunny, as I recently discovered I didn't own any black and white papers, the ribbed black cardstock and the scallop oval nesting dies to go with the plain ovals I brought a few weeks back.

The Dress Form Stamp is from the Unity Stamp Companies December KOTM and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up!  I have embossed the scallop oval behind the image and added a touch of colour to the image with my Tria Markers to match the ribbon and crocheted flowers.

Now I just have to get this card in the mail this afternoon which means it should arrive to her on Friday in time for her birthday on Saturday.

Speaking of Birthday's I better go and put my thinking cap on.  I have to make a male birthday card as it is my hubby's birthday on Friday.  I have left it to the last minute once again and now I am running out of time as I am going to be busy with tradesmen at the other house tomorrow, and getting ready to have Rod's Mum and Dad over for dinner, pack for our night away on Friday, do the grocery shopping and pick up his birthday cake.  Lately it always seems that everything needing to be done is always packed into the same one or two day's......isn't it funny how life is like that sometimes?
