Some say Happy is a state of mind, whilst others spend their lives searching for who or what will make them Happy. For everyone HAPPY is different and unique, so just what makes you happy?
One of the things that makes me happy is being able to spend some time in my craft room each day creating, which is what I have been doing lots of lately, and yes I have a wonderfully supportive husband.....lol.
Stamps: Darkroom Door and Ippity by Unity, Ink/Colour: Black Archival Ink and Tria Markers, Papers: Basic Grey and Echo Park
Other: Embossing Folder, Martha Stewart Ribbon Loop Punch, Corner Rounder Punch, Ribbon and Rhinestones.
Creating makes me happy, making for others and sharing my creativity makes me happy. This past week I have been overly Happy!
I had an order for a Birthday Card requiring delivery for today, I wasn't given much to go on other than they weren't overly into pretty or flowering things. So 'HAPPY' became the theme of this Happy Birthday Card. A yummy chocolate cake, bright colours, fun patterns, a little bit of texture, and just a touch of pretty, are all things that would make me HAPPY, so I was hoping that this combination would work for this card and make the recipient Happy Too!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CRISTINE!
Some other creations that have made me overly happy this last week have been the many (33 to be exact) ATC's that I made as part of the ART-Athon over at ATC's for All. I now have 24 cards to bundle up and send to 14 traders throughout the globe, and I can't wait to recieve my trades in return. I will try and remember to take a photo to share with you all once they all arrive. The other part of being creative which makes me happy is all the wonderful new friends you make along the way. I have made many this past week during the Art-Athon.
Here's a peek at a few more cards I made for these trades:
Spread your Wings - Brayered and Perfect Pearl Background, with Stamping and Embossing
Seahorses - Brayered and Perfect Pearl Background, with Stamping in Gesso
Enjoy Good Times - Stamping and colouring with Distress Inks and Tria Markers
Siren of the Sea - A Golden Morn, - Paper Collage
Fairy Kisses - Stamping and Coloured with Watercoloured Pencils and Twinkling H20's
Love Birds - Stamping and Punches Collage
I am looking forward to being Happy for the Rest of this week with more creating on the cards after a little bit of housework is done. Including some scrapbooking, doing more scrapping is one of my goals for 2012. Have you set yourself any creative goals this year? I have set a few which I will share with you all in another post.
Until next time........tommorrow actually cos it will be time for another Party Time Tuesdays post, I hope you get to do something that makes you Happy.
