The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. At Party Time Tuesdays we want to reconize the millions of women worldwide who have survived breast cancer!! You all deserve a standing ovation!!
Please remember to take the time to get a mamogram....In Australia they are free for all women over 40
About 1 in 9 women will diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 85.
The most significant risk factors for breast cancer are gender (being a woman) and age (growing older).
These statistics were found at http://canceraustralia.nbocc.org.au/breast-cancer/about-breast-cancer/breast-cancer-statistics which shows statistics from the Australia Government and
and http://www.breastcancer.org/ in the United States where the diagnosis rate is 1 in 8 women.
Our challenge this week is to show us your shaped cards AND/OR any Breast Cancer Awareness card regardless of the shape!
For my card this week I have used a circle shape and have doodled around the outside with two rows or faux stitching and added dots around each scallop of my scalloped circle. The cute image Boo Bear is from Stamp Insanity and I have coloured him in with my Tria Markers.
And a big thank you goes to our 2 fabulous sponsors this week!
Here is a little bit about Crafty Sentiments designs. We are a small online based company selling both digital, clear and exclusive rubber stamps to cardmarkers and scrapbookers, started in October 2009 by me (Suzette), we offer a wide range of exclusive images as well as some lovely sentiments, with some essential crafting products including punches & soon to be released exclusive die-cuts!
