All Things Unity - #40 One Layer Challenge

Its been a while since I have played along with a Unity Challenge and this month feels like a blur.  It is as if I haven't played with my rubber stamps for ages.......but I have, I just haven't been posting much here on my blog lately.  But now that September is almost over I should be back in the swing of things real soon.

The All Things Unity Challenge this month is to create a One Layer Card with your Unity/Ippity Stamps and here is what I came up with.

I have used my Spellbinder Circles to cut out the centre of the card front to expose the inside of the card on which I have stamped my sentiment.  Maybe by doing so this won't be classed as one layer?  I am not sure but it is only one piece of card being used to create this card.

The flower and dragonfly images and this beautiful sentiment are from the Unity July KOTM.  I have used Chocolate Chip Ink to stamp the images and Sentiment.  Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo Ink and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink to add Sponged Colour and a Pink Tria Marker for the free hand faux stitching/doodling.   I then Punched out 3 Pink Hearts with my SU Punch and added some Crystallina Kindy Glitz and Pink Rhinestones.

Faux Stitching is becoming a bit of my trademark lately, but the card in its entirety is a little different to what I have been doing lately so I was happy with the result.

More to prove to myself than to you all that I have been crafting this month, I am going to have to do a post to summarise September as I have lots to share.  I have been away on a Scrap Retreat where we did a fabulous Steam Punk Class, preparing for our Butterfly Day Fundraiser which was on Saturday just gone, creating with bottletops, and making birthday's my dad's birthday today.  I also have the ATC's I made for retreat to show and some beautiful cards I received for my birthday.  But in the meantime tommorrow is Party Time so I will be back with this week's Party Time Tuesdays Challenge and my example too.
